The model sets a goal in tokens and names the prize: hit this number and the show everyone came for happens, live, for the whole room. Every tip from every viewer fills the same bar. Your 25 counts exactly the same as anyone else's 25.

That's the genius of it. Nobody pays alone, nobody needs deep pockets, and the room turns into a team with one very focused objective. When the bar hits, it hits for everyone, including the people who only watched. Though between us, the people who tipped enjoy it more.

A little know-how goes a long way:

• Check the counter first. Every room shows the tokens remaining to goal. A room at 90% is minutes away. A room at 4% is a long evening.
• Goals reset. Plenty of models run several rounds a night, so missing one show isn't missing out.
